How It All Began....

In short, Truman Falls is like a big ole musical Love-In. The 'constants' are Simon Rea and Paul Teare, with frequent appearances by Dave Armstrong (bass player and producer), drums by Stu Watret and/or Shane Kerwin, earlydays writing duties by Carl Holden, live keys by Paul Tonks, samples n sounds n occasional bass by Chris Glaister, occasional guitar/harmonies by Steph Joyce and additional BVs by Christy DeHaven. Whew!

They started out on the tiny Isle of Man, wandered off to London Town for a bit, then came back to the Rock a few years ago (they missed the kippers and the funny shaped hills).

They put out a few EPs first, then recorded debut album 'Little Happyhells' in 2003. It enjoyed some great reviews, airplay on various BBC Radio 2 programmes - including the legendary whispering Bob Harris, and landed them a session on Janice Long's Radio 2 show.

Then they were invited to tour the UK with Josh Rouse in 2005.

Since then, they've supported Paul Carrack, James Grant and Spaced, performed at Guilfest and have been gigging new material on the tiny Isle. They also made friends with Richard Hawley, who loves the album and ha's been namechecking the band on his own forums. They've nearly completed their Difficult 2nd Album and hope to have it ready for release early 2009 (yes, it's taken a while.. but it's bootiful!)

The full story is one of adventure, fairytale romance, travels to distant lands and the occasional ruck with a dragon (or similar ancient beast of folklore past.) But they'd rather keep those stories to themselves for fear of scaring their younger audience.
